American backed coup in Venuzuela is an attempt to subvert democracy.
It will cause the deaths of many, and plunge the country into further chaos.

It doesn't look like the US-sponsored coup is doing too well, with over two dozen 'Guaidistas' taking refuge in foreign embassies. Will the Brazilian and Colombian militaries be sent in as US proxies? The founder of Black Water is pushing the idea that 5,000 of his 'contracter'/mercenaries be sent in.

Maduro is popular.Whilst there may have been some irregularities in the election,his support is massive because they don't like Yanks sticking their noses into their business.

Venuzuela is just another in a long list of countries that is condemned by the USA to have to play out a proxy war against what the USA wants to characterize as its traditional enemies. Many other countries have suffered the same fate. Syria, Palestine, Kuwait, Iraq, Libya, Vietnam, Laos, Grenada, Cambodia, Chili, even Italy with the murder of Aldo Moro by the CIA.

If America backed Guido militarily, it would lead to A major conflict as Russia is already backing the communist Maduro.

Is it not in the News where you are? The coup started today.

What in the hell are you talking about? Venezuela is a socialist dictatorship.

It's a democracy. And the current leadership is there by popular vote. Just because you don't like it, does not mean it is not democratic.

@chazwin You are quite delusional.

@chazwin @Trajan61 Trajan is absolutely right (it feels weird saying that after the debates we've had elsewhere...)

Maduro is a dictator who staged a rigged election to retain power. Major opposition parties were banned from participating. As an analogy, would you consider Trump winning in 2020 legitimate if the Democrats, Greens, and Libertarians were suddenly forbidden from running candidates?

The Venezuelan Assembly and the OAS both declared Maduro's reelection unconstitutional. 54 nations have recognized Guaido as the legitimate President. It's only Maduro (and people who blame America for everything) saying that it's a US-backed coup.

@Paul4747 You have that exactly correct. Thanks for the support.

@Trajan61 When you're right, you're right.

@Paul4747 Nope. Keep reading Fox News! You know it makes sense.

@Paul4747 I suppose you think Vietnam was a jolly good idea too.

@chazwin China and Russia are supporting Maduro, the socialist dictator. I’m sure the US won’t send troops but I have no problem sending arms to the rebels if Maduro refuses to step down.

@Trajan61 Yeah I know the US won't walk the walk. It's happy to have others do their fighting but it's yellow when it comes to real fighting. It's the fat bully who hands out the knives in the school yard.
