Good friends are essential to our health. Psychologically, physically and spiritually.
It reduces stress and lowers risk of illness and depression
Keeps our brains sharp as we age
Increases our sense of belonging and purpose
Provided comfort, reassurance and guidance in tough or sad times
and
Encourages healthy habits, such as being more active or drinking less (some friends do the opposite of course).
Friends are those that add to your life...they energize you and keep you sane...I love my friends that encourage me to be better in so many little ways...laughing at our own foibles in a good natured way really makes one feel "normal"...I don't have lots of friends but the ones I have are precious...thanks for a positive post...
