The bleaching of Jesus was in part due to the reuse of Greek and Roman statues repurposed for Christian use. The Gods and goddesses became icons of Christianity, renamed to fit the story.

Hmm... I wonder if hte icon bleaching was in part the inspiration for Michael Jackson bleaching himself?...

Predominantly at white Jesus in present moment ... in the past, he may have been brown among browns.
