Creepy encounter yesterday. Anyone had experience with Melaleuca? The company, not tree tea products in general. I had a brush with them, my second in fact. I had called about a flyer I found in the library. (It didn't identify inform folks that they would be contacted by Melaleuca devotees, else I would have run in the opposite direction.) These people were beyond weird. When I met them and found out who they were, I told them straight up that I had not liked Melaleuca the FIRST time I encountered the company and its hard sell. Total ignore, right? They proceed to explain what Melaleuca was, (hello-I just informed you I ALREADY KNEW?) and gave me a most pressured approach. THEN, after taking note of my name, the dude pulled out a TALLIS and invited me to his "JEWS FOR JESUS"-Type CHURCH!!! So his fucking pastor could show me the way! (Pretty sure no actual Jews were attending this weird church and also pretty sure their pastor was the same dude who fled a neighboring state after being arrested.) Shudder. When I lived long long ago, my chiropractor had belonged to a group like this and had illegally violated HIPAA and leaked my deets to his little group. I practically had to take a restraining order against this group of nutjobs. They besieged me with phonecalls, flyers, and even showed up at my residence. I finally sent them an official letter through my lawyer, and they stopped. I REALLY hope these aren't the same folks. But if they are, they should still have my letter on file. IF not, I know even MORE lawyers now.....

Thank you for your post ! As a rule, multi-level marketing (MLM) companies are a scam, I have tried many MLM, and I have never seen anyone who has had any luck with them, in fact what I have seen is bankruptcies and stress on people and their relationships. As stated below you have to buy a certain level of products every month, so MLM companies are not offering good opportunities for employment they are another waste of your hard-earned money, unless you have a very good paying job to begin with, you will quickly go broke and burn out yourself and all your social circles with MLM.

They say is a pyramid selling organization, but I'm not into wellness products. Anyway, is good to know!

Cripes...when religions adopt aggresive marketing campaigns nothing good can come from it. Sounds like a hoard of zombies mobbed your home!

I'd not heard of them until I read your post.
Thanks for the heads up.

I don’t know if Melaluca is a religious based company, but they can get pretty fanatical. My mother is in to Melaluca products, and she’s pretty churchy.

Good luck! lol
