Anybody love homemade smoothies? I use kale, spinach leaves, 2 5oz cups blueberry yogurt, 6oz frozen fruit (strawberries, blueberries and rasberries) and 1 1/2 cups almond milk. Blend it for 20-30 sec then liquefy for another 10-20 sec. Oh man, my taste buds are loving me!

mmmm I am drinking my strawberry one now...almond milk, vanilla protein powder (low carb, no sugar), fresh strawberries, ice...

I am trying to figure out a way to make the berry ones easier...I strain out the seeds so it takes me a while...any tips?

Sounds great!

Protein-Banana-Berry Smoothie

I freeze bananas, individually wrapped, for smoothies.

Put into a blender

1 cup orange juice

1/2 cup cold water

1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt

1 scoop nonfat, vanilla whey protein powder = 20 grams protein.

1 ripe banana, broken into chunks

Dash salt

1 teaspoon almond butter

1/2 cup frozen blueberries or mixed berries.

A squeeze of fresh lemon juice, optional. This brightens the flavor.

1 tsp. honey or sugar, optional.

Blend on high until smooth. Makes two servings.
