@ToolGuy and, no one knows exactly how the Maine blew up, just that it blew up. You know the Spanish had better rifles than we did. We learned a lot in that war. Turned the Navy around greatly. (Learned, if fighting a war is ever good - probably at times). Also, read up on the use of gattling guns and the testing of water cooked machine guns on the island.
