I am an agnostic as opposed to an atheist. What is the reason for this? One has to have faith to believe in God because the existence of God is not provable. It is also true that one must have faith to NOT believe in God because the nonexistence of God is also not provable. I am one who does not have faith for either the existence or nonexistence of God.

Agnostic refers to knowledge, we're as atheist referred to as belief.either way if you're not 100% convinced that there is any deity whatsoever you are an atheist make no bones about it whether you care to admit it or not.

I don't believe in fairies. I don't believe in unicorns. I don't believe in alien abductions. I don't believe in Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster. I don't believe in god. None of that takes faith. It's just that there is no evidence for any of those things. Faith is belief without evidence, the exact opposite of rejecting something without evidence. As 1of5 said Oh gawd, not again.

@Sam-a-Lamb no, this worn to death subject. Seems like every level 5 and below thinks they've hit a good mine of a topic when posting about it..

They haven't.

@Sam-a-Lamb yup on all counts 🙂
