you've been farther north on the island than me, by car at least. arrived in victoria in 1975 but have never driven north of campbell river.
every late oct. we head south. i guess i have an aversion to heading north.

You should do a day trip, We stayed in Campbell River overnight and had supper with friends ,fairly flat on that side of the island

@Neenz oh Yes indeed we ,Do any area by a Great Lake is very unpredictable

@ScienceBill72 Not necessarily so. For years I lived beside the 3rd largest lake in the world, and the weather was extremely steady. I was also only 40 miles from the equator, of course.
