Question to those whose ego not too big that lets them perceive themselves as better than others. If money didn't exist what do you think our life would've looked like

As AI becomes smart enough to take all our jobs, we will have an opportunity to answer your question, I think. Will we have utopia or distopia?

Its hard to imagine that humans could exist as a reasonably intelligent society, a d not devise a standardized system for valuation and exchange. So your question implies a failure of humanity?

@Neenz why do you think humans will suddenly evolve or change?

@Neenz I think it'd be useful if we had terminology for how much people believed/ wanted to participate in religion.... The gathering of like minded individuals to share rituals related to a common world view/ belief system. It seems like most religions now are theistic (example xtianity, hinduism), but not all (example some sects of Buddhism). To me, this Venus idea seems very religious, and to me thats a turn off. I realize there are people on this site who are atheists but religious, perhaps like yourself?

Your implication, intentional or not, is that people who believe that money drives people to indiscretions believe that primarily because they have oversized egos.

A false positive. I run across people on this site all the time that are supporters of the present form of rapacious capitalism (not the only model of capitslism that exists) that by and large are legends in their own minds. They seem to have overly larger egos compared to the people that question our present model of capitalism.

well we would all have to work in harmony to sustain for the good of the whole ,possesions would be minimal ,only your needs ,wants would have to be something the whole community desired for it to come to reality ,Life a lot more leisurly and stress free in most ways ,but not sure how this would work when it comes to medicine and advancements in making the human race more knowledgeable and the sciences to advance

Maybe like a barter type economy.... I'd probably have to learn how to sing for my dinner. 🙂

@Neenz now that's interesting.

Its very hard to say

No internet, electricity, infrastructure, healthcare, limited diet, limited food production, higher infant mortality rates, diseases would be more widespread and harder to contain, ability to travel would be nearly non-existent resulting in increased tribalism, and we'd be lucky to live past 50.

Other than that it sounds ideal.

@Neenz money allows for increased specializations which is critical for our development and diversity. It's not the source but a critical component of it.

@Neenz money is the ability to get someone to do something for you they normally wouldn't. Money is the ability to create art, music, literature, discover the wonders of the universe, cure diseases, educate others, and so much more. The reason money allows us to do all those things is because no one person has to do everything just to survive.

Humans were on the barter system for a long, long, long time and life was generally miserable.

@Neenz religion spontaneously exists all over the world... Its very valid... Its shaped societies, caused huge numbers of deaths,, given rise to new ways of thinking and learning... It may not be logical, but humanity is what it is

@Neenz uhm, no, you can't. You can for a few of those, but not all of them.

Money is a concept, like religion. Both have uses, good and bad. One we can do without and thrive, the other we can do without and stagnate. That's the differance.

@Neenz oh yeah, now I'm not "woke" because I don't agree with you. Way to defend your assertation.

@Neenz you've done nothing to support your position, except to claim I'm wrong because I'm under the influence of money. That's very childish behavior, btw.

So whatever, I'm done here, unless you actually attempt to show me why I'm wrong.

@Neenz wow, you really know how to back up a position.

Whatever.
