Yes, I wish they could get their messages across without hinting at a belief in Satan, which i know they don't really hold. But reference to any imaginary being clouds the message for me.

And he is a f'ing retired Navy chaplain - I had a very bad experience with one in the Navy, they are dickheads. When I was in, my dog tags listed me as no pref for religion - fewer choices availsble then (I did like my friend having Bud). So, when my fiancee with whom I was experiencing troubles convinced my parents to contact the USO, well, I got sent to a priest, a fucking full commander who didn't give a shit, or believe me, that I had been in contact with my parents. He ordered me to write a letter home, place it in an unsealed, postage stamped envelope and bring it to him for approval. Such demeaning bullshit for an adult.
