Lansing, Mi has some of the safest, best tasting, water in the nation. And yet, there are idiots buying bottled water that was pumped, by nestle, from the same aquifers.
Buying a filter is less expensive than buying PETE bottles of water.
If you must buy alternative water, buy the gallon and the 5 gallon containers which are made of HDPE (#2) plastic, and very less expensive.
DON"T BUY ANYTHING IN PETE (#1) bottles, including all the evil sodas, and "fruit" juices.
Soda and juices provide no actual food value, and most dentists agree that juice is awful for children's teeth.

My municipality proudly publishes their water-testing data (independent lab) every year (I have lived here over 40 years) and they are always in the top 5-rated in the country. Tastes good too! Why would I buy bottled?
Most municipalities get their water tested regularly, you could call your town hall & ask for the results, or even find them on line.
