Adorable! How wonderful the father was making eye contact, smiling and responding positively to his baby's babbling.

"You know what I'm saying?" cracked me up! Learning language, babies understood far more than they can express.

At first, I identified words in Claire's babbling: "Ba ba BABY ba BOTTLE , ga go GO, na na NO..."

At 18 months, Claire began speaking in short sentences. Of course, she made up words or learned from other kids in daycare. "Arf arf" was a dog. She called broccoli "trees."

People were amazed at how articulate Claire was at a young age. I never used baby talk.

With talkative parents, Claire learned to talk early just to get a word in edgewise.

Annette never used baby talk with Terra. At 14 months she said "this is the life we're people" !!!
