I wonder, how do you all view jealousy? Personally, i see it as a child-like emotion.
I don't know that it's child like. I'm sure most of us felt it at some point in there teens and twenties. Some of came from someone wanting to make me jealous and my own insecurities at that age.
I guess I say child-like because as a child one wants control and one way to achieve that is through the effects of jealousy (whether physical like beating or abuse, to mental like mind games or depression). The depression aspect I am looking at from a self pitying point of view. But these ways are responses to jealousy. Does this mean that jealousy is a primal emotion?
@VineetHonkan I don't know. It generally seems to come from insecurities, and I'm not sure that is a primal feeling. All of us, even the most confident have found ourselves in a situation or place we felt insecure. Hell if I know.
@Sticks48 thanks...for your opinion...
I see jealousy more as fear of emotional pain. And the reaction to that fear can be childish or adult, depending on the person.
Fuck, I'm pissed I didn't think of this question. Twice.
I'm trying to start a discussion here. No need to be rude.
@VineetHonkan He's just jealous
@TheoryNumber3 Very.
@VineetHonkan posting the same question multiple times is rude. It also indicates to me you're jealous other people's posts generate more responses.
@VineetHonkan welcome to the asshole club! Your membership card is on its way!
...tell me. With whom am I having this colorful correspondence with? I mean, you seem to know how to push my buttons so...
@Allamanda having posted my question twice means nothing. Having you answer means nothing.
@Allamanda I do apologize for my rudeness towards you.
@Allamanda nothing in the grand scheme. My goal in asking the question was simply to try to elicit not just a response from you all, but to get a discussion going. You don't want to answer, don't. It's no skin off my teeth.
@VineetHonkan the names Nockers. Vodka Nockers.
