Spent the last 5 days out in the country with family and two "old gray mares" not really gray. And teaching a 23 month old granddaughter how to feed horses carrots.

I let her hold the carrot, my hand covering hers, as Jazzy got close, Lily screamed in delight! All went well until Jazzy licked our hands. Lily backed up, said "ewwe gross" wiping horse spit on her diaper. 😊

Then Lily helped put the hay flakes into the wheel barrow, "helped" us unload the flakes into the trough. At one point she was feeling brave, carried a flake of hay to Dakota. Three feet away she threw the flakes at the horse.

At no point was the baby in danger tho her bravery made us nervous. She was adorable and the horses both are used of her baby squeals of delight!!!

Best weekend in a long time, teaching and raising a future horse woman!!!
