The political debates are largely a joke. The amount of speaking time they get is determined by name recognition (which determines polling support), or (worse yet) by how willing they are to forcefully butt into the conversation without being recognized. While others were blasting out a bunch of poll tested catch phrases, Marianne Williamson quietly made the most meaningful comment of the night....that we don't have a "health care system"..we have a "sickness care system" (only thinking about how to treat people AFTER they become sick)...Instead she asserts we should put more effort into isues like how much chemicals, etc. get into our food supply, so less people will BECOME sick. We would be much better focusing on intelligent ideas like that rather than how hard someone's father had to work when he was a boy, and all the other worn out platitudes.
too short for a true debate...just a tease but very revealing...I got lot out of it...I did like her comment but that is not a top ten issue on the minds of most in this day and age...sadly...
I wanted to watch the debates just to see who actually answers the questions asked of them.
IMO lots of words are not important. They know they have very limited time, so what they choose to say is very telling!
