As for me, I'm always up for a good game of poker, especially online like @IAJO163 mentioned.

I used to play but the game is different. When I played it was "table stakes" and the last thing anyone would say was "I'm all in". Texas holdum' was played but mostly stud or draw was dealt.

I think "all in" was started in tournaments. It was a high roller thing.

@IAJO163 when I played if you said you were all in then any player left could throw in a quarter more than you total and win the hand without even showing the hand. You never let the other players know how much you had on you. Adds a level not in the games today. My brother, a veteran gambler and bookie had a saying;"A jealous man can't work and a scared man can't gamble."

Yes...I love card games of all kinds...I play poker. bonco, uno, hearts and euchre...

euchre. didn't know ppl still played it. i learned it from my grandparents in toronto 60 yrs ago.

@callmedubious really? I had no idea ...I lost so much sleep playing cards in college...

@thinktwice ,
i think a lot of ppl who used to play euchre, rummy & other card games now play bridge.
i can play bridge but my problem is that the bridge players take it so seriously & by the time they start playing, 7 pm, i've had a few drinks & am not at my sharpest.
