Evagelicals are about Roe v Wade, period. Republicans live off deficits. They have since Reagan. They come in and lower taxes ( Daddy Bush raised taxes and it ended him ) and create deficits. The Dems get elected and have to raise taxes to pay down the debt. The Republican start yelling about how the Dems love to raise taxes and they get put back in office. This is a cycle we have been in for awhile. Americans, being fairly dim for the most part, fall for it most of the time.

I hear you, but Reagan raised taxes over half a dozen times, including the largest rise in taxes, the doubling of the FICA tax, to save social security Of course then he went and spent the social security money anyway. Today, republicans wnt ot make cuts to social security because they don't wnt ot pay back what they spent, which they characterized as "borrowing" at the time.
