Woke up this morning with no AC upstairs... 98 degrees out and I have company coming in the morning for a week.. Thankfully it turned out just to be the capacitor went out on the outside compressor unit. A couple of YouTube videos, a trip to the store, $10 and an hour later we're chillin like a villain. 
How did we ever get along without YouTube before???

Honestly, there are few things I would have gone to the library for when trying to fix something in a house back before there was YT... The convenience of finding an AV demonstration of a "how to" on a laptop is a game changer for the amateur home fix-it man. "ALL HAIL THE INTERNET" 
@Captain_Feelgood agreed, I have used it for a number of things too, but it wasn't there at the time.
