This has been going on for many years now. Since the film star was voted to be a president me thinks.

Back about the time Ronald Reagan was running for President, I happened to see a tv interview with Charleton Heston. One of the questions posed to him was "Do you think it right that a professional actor is running for President ?" To which, Heston responded "Why not? Politicians are the best actors I know !"
