Now that we've elected the Trumpster, can we get an Atheist President in the future or is America still far from ready for a reasonable leader?

An atheist for president is still too high concept for a good majority of Americans I think.

I am sure we already have, but there is no way they can admit it. I am also sure the one we have is a nonbeliever. Being a nonbeliever is no guarantee of ethics or intelligence.

Which is why I used the word reasonable.

@x0lineage0x Got it. 🙂

I fear it will not be so, An openly Atheist POTUS.
Reasonableness can be hard to find even in the Ag/A community.

I agree, thanks for your insights.

@x0lineage0x If you enjoy a bit of batshit, or the aroma at least, Check this classic case. Not an Ag/A, barely of this world, I imagine... Trying to find the way to remove His posts and links from our poly group. "HomerOfTroy" [davidhuttnerforpresident.com]

Lol I went there and I just couldn't text walls are toxic to my vision.

@x0lineage0x I can appreciate, I have to be in a sort of masochistic mood to venture too far "in the weeds".

I read a commentary the other day that Trump's supporters looked at the least common denominator. He espounds nationalism and isolationism, while pronouncing hatred towards those who disagree with him, women and minorities. If you are not a white Christian male or an attractive Christian female, you are a non-human in his mind.

That's nice and all.... Care to contribute towards the actual topic?
