The song Chasing Cars by Northern Ireland band Snow Patrol is the most played song on U.K. Radio in the 21st century it has just been revealed. Gary Lightbody, lead vocalist who wrote it, has said he’s amazed and delighted at this news. The song was released in 2006 and never reached number one in the U.K., but remained in the charts for more than three years, and is the most popular song on the British airwaves in the last 20 years!
