Two weeks ago I had a blow out with My oldest Son and we have haven’t spoke since . I’ve seen his pattern of running down those who love him and not dealing with his own issues. I came to aid to the aid of his younger brother who he was running down and next thing I see ,is him projecting his issues onto me . I stayed calm but for once reminded him to handle his business and let others do likewise. Encouraged him to support instead of attack . I have come across values that allow me to not get caught up in stuff for to long and I keep it moving. This is harder when it’s the kiddos , nonetheless I have to live my principles even with him . He’s deep in his ego, we have all been there from time to time . Freaking kids !!! Love him though!

What else can one do ..

@Donotbelieve Gotta say.. Though I love/ed my girls.. when working with boys, it just felt right. Always on the edge of trouble ..I could relate to them. Miss my school job sometimes, strangely, when I see teenagers in need of attention 😕

@Outsideit67 Yur doin it, and as my mother once explained ..you always will be 🙂 My daughters are 24 & 26, and so different.. Love em both, of course, but it’s amazing how different my advice is to either of them. But having done a lot in life ...they remain my ‘best investment’ and greatest source of pride.

Not speaking will pass, depending on age of said son. Consistency is a good example, as is kindness and compassion.

Absolutely! The same principles that approach all with I have to with him as well or all that I have look at will be for nothing. Your comment is well received. He’s 24 by the way, Young super aggressive and in pain like most .
