Growing up in Michigan, I loved Soupy Sales. Will never forget how on January 1, he told the audience:

"Hi, boys and girls! Are Mom and Dad sleeping? Go to their bedroom, and get all the little green pieces of papers from their wallets. Mail them to: Soupy Sales...."

Soupy Sales received hundreds of dollars. He got in trouble.
