Listening to the news this morning, I'm starting to wonder if the R party is actively working to undermine democracy and invalidate the Constitution as the foundation of our government.

I'm wondering this in light of the party's refusal to reign in the president's corruption and criminal abuse of the office. They have all united to protect him no matter what he does regardless of whatever legal or moral boundaries he breaks. They also refuse to take any measures in response to the hacking of the 2016 election and the evidence that the hacking of the 2020 election has already begun. Mitch McConnell recently blocked two proposals to safeguard our elections from just this kind of foreign interference. Basically the Rs are saying "Russia, North Korea, China, whomever's listening, the door's wide open. Interfere as you see fit as long as its to our party's benefit."

All of this is a clear violation of the principles of democracy and their vow to protect it. How is this kind of blatant treason even allowed?

Anybody else seeing it this way?

from my perspective it has to do with a large flow of cash into their pockets they want to become part of the one percent that rules the rest of the people of United States. I posed the same question you do and yes I see it the way you do. 😠

The way I see it, both parties do this . . . . . it is nothing new. We do not have a legitimate government, we have a FAKE government with no justification for existing. They all are sworn to protect and defend the Constitution, but they don't.

Seeing it just now? They've been doing it for awhile now, going way back to the previous administration.

The basic fact is that conservative politics is a minority in this country, they know it and are actively taking steps to preserve thier power.
