That's "Strong and Stable" government for you.

Yep, it is a strong government while more than 50% of the Afghanistan's territory is under the control of the Taliban.

In 1974, a bunch of us young "hippies" moved into a house outside of Athens, Ohio and decided to resurrect the local underground paper, The Mount Nebo Flash. We published for two issues with the usual reporting on international, national, and local news that the traditional papers were not touching. Local included elected officials and decisions that we felt, were not productive towards a better community. Had our house raided, 5 of us got arrested, I got beat up inside the jail by the local prison gang, and all of us were charged with drug possession. (1 1/2 ounce marrywana between all 5 of us). After we were released after our arraignment, the sherriff went into the jail to thank the guys who had beaten us up for "taking care of those communists". Once a government is in power, they target the journalists who speak out on their misdeeds and send the message that by speaking out, there will be consequences.

Yup, it is everywhere specially in those countries with corrupt government

I hope his cause is being taken up with human rights organisations such as Amnesty International. The western powers who put this government in Afghanistan in place should also be lobbied to intervene.....this is a travesty of any interpretation of justice.

Organizations such as Human Rights organization and amnesty are forced to keep their mouth shut in Afghanistan's issues, every day people's rights in Afghansitan are being violated by not only insurgents but those in power as well, very few of those violations are being only reported, the warlords who are respnosible for the mass murders during the civil war are on top levels of the governments including Cheif Executive the second powerful after president, but none of them are brought to justice and the ordinery people are hopeless of justice, they only can shout and curse on them in social media.
