I'm dying on the inside. Surrounded by people who can only offer God to help me find peace. I feel I just need a lady partner. Where is the best place/way to truly connect with fellow non-theists and start a new life, before this place drains my willpower to try?

I'm in the ghetto part of New York so alot of people have had their friends or family die due to the high crime rate or gang violence and literally everyone I've meet know I'm an athiest and I get no respect or compation. It's always like harrassment then a little"Hey you know that feeling your getting. We did that want us to stop then join our cult and help us do it to other people." I would sooner die then help them alienate someone for not being part of thier religion.

  1. Solve your personal issues first; you can't "give" to a person peace and love if you don't have not them in your soul.
Once you have solved your issues you may join an Atheist group -there are many all over the country- and make friends.

I would suggest a counselor, personally. No romantic relationship will change those feelings of emptiness without some inner work, and a quality partner will be hard to find if you aren't at least happy with yourself. I learned while facing depression myself that if I can't enjoy my own company no one else will either.

I understand. I have been there, i am still, kinda, heh. You need to find a group of people or a person who is interested in their own personal growth, good role models. You're likely surrounded by friends and family that seem to have good intentions but constantly fail you and you don't want to be cruel to them and don't know how to leave. I personally found a really good counselor (while i was looking for a job on CL btw, stranger things... as they say) and he helped me through a lot of stuff.

I do this Meet up app. You can find other Atheist groups to meet up with. I don't use it for dating but Its a great way to meet up with other people who are atheist/agnostic. Different people host different activities: dinners, lunch, support groups, bars etc.
