In a dictatorship, when a revolutionary takes over it is because the military let it happen. In other words, the revolution is a tool in the hands of the military and other key supporters of the dictator to get what they want in exchange for allowing the revolution to take over.

In a democracy, this is a lot more complex because now the military must influence voters, the elected officials must take funding from private entities to get elected, and private entities must have their own personal agenda manipulated before any change can take place.

Due to the complexities involved in accomplishing something personal, most people don't unless the perfect opportunity comes along. We need to ask: does the FBI really lack the tools necessary to stop domestic terrorism?

Second, we need to ask if they do then is the chance that you will be a victim of domestic terror worth sacrificing freedom and cost for security?

Third, we have to ask if it is likely or even possible to effectively stop domestic terror through surveillance alone.
How long does it take for a terrorist to plan and execute an attack?
What warning signs or signals can we monitor to detect a potential attack before it occurs that would be both non intrusive and accurate in their predictions?

It seems modern warfare does not take place in the air, on the seas, or on land, or in space, it takes place in our collective minds. We are not political pawns, it is far worse than that. We are the board on which the game is played.

I'll be no one can guess who's quote this is: The decimation of the environment is creating a massive burden for future generations. Corporations are heading the destruction of our environment by shamelessly overharvesting resources. This has been a problem for decades. For example, this phenomenon is brilliantly portrayed in the decades old classic "the Loraz".

does the FBI really lack the tools necessary to stop domestic terrorism?” Yes… They can’t be inside the head of every antisocial punk in the US who’s not satisfied taking their own life - but feel compelled and entitled to take as many others as possible with them.. To begin with…

The FBI can’t, so the second Q’s invalid, but a good one..

And ‘the third’ is also, no. Again, there’s no way to assess all the heads necessary to discover those willing to kill in mass.

I don’t see it as ‘a game,’ but the manifestation of overpopulation … akin to that frog in boiling water ..now having it’s temperature raised incrementally for ..decades. Those who profit from mayhem live in gated & guarded communities. They don’t shop at Walmarts, don’t send their children to public schools, don’t attend events with commoners … are not ‘soft targets.’ Yet their greed keeps this in motion..

Too many people (period) With every additional, all our values appear slightly diminished, we can feel it. Living rural, we count on each other, no matter what our ultimate political perspectives, cuz we occasionally need each other. Inside cities, you can feel it, we’re ‘a dime a dozen’ … constantly competitive ..and in someone’s way..

It could and should be better, but the restrictions necessary for the masses to function are too much for our societal misfits to endure … and in the USA, they’re free to vote against such regulations, and do. With that, we never quite get to a safe, or even semi-safe place. Good questions, though - but I rarely do links..
