I hope so but, then again, I thought this couldn't happen. A friend just shared that, in addition to her passport and other ID, she also carries her naturalization papers (from 20+ years ago) with her just in case. How nerve-wracking.
OH the blue touch paper has been lit, I've had gritted teeth for months wondering just how loud the explosion will be when it finally comes.

I had to reveal all of that plus my father's and grandfather's history before they would accpt my application for immigration. Mind you, i was alrady married to an American GI and worked for HQ in Fürth. And still, the SS (Secret Sevice) would spend hours marching in front of our house. This was in 1973. Everything is possible.

I was 8 months pregnant with my American hubby's baby and was still questioned by the INS. I told em, 'send me home if you like...UK isn't that bad'. They didn't. I was asked if any of my rels were communists. I had to lie!
