Which is a total violation of your Democratic Freedoms and Values, but we must not also forget that persons are targeted because of their gender, race, and yes sometimes only hired because of their religious belief or Political Affiliation. I can only imagine your Political Affiliation that you have chosen accepts all races, creeds and religious beliefs and sees every person as equal.
I was in a Labor Union and worked for different companies which was for the duration of the job or sooner. We used to say that we were only as good as our last 5 minutes which was true because every day you went to work wondering if it would be the day which it very well could have been after which you had to go back to the Union Hall and await another joy opening.

I got fired from a job for being overweight (not the reason they gave me, but a co-worker told me). I got fired from a job because a co-worker who was a close personal friend of the boss took a dislike to me and persuaded the boss to fire me. I was a better worker and a much nicer person, but I got fired. Stuff like that happens.
