Do you miss the Cap Lock indicator light on your keyboard? No one knows why they made the stupid decision to eliminate it, but this quick and easy solution has saved me a lot of time and frustration. No more "You have typed an incorrect password"

While the Caps Lock key is useful when you want to write everything in caps, it can create problems, if you accidentally click on it, especially when typing passwords.

In Windows 10, 8, and 7 you can set it so that a warning tone is heard when you press the Caps Lock, Num Lock or Scroll
Lock keys.

To enable this feature:
Open Control Panel > Ease of Access Center > Make the keyboard easier to use.
Check the Turn on Toggle Keys checkbox.
Click Apply > OK.
Windows will play an alert beep warning each time you press the Caps Lock, Num Lock, or Scroll Lock keys and a lower tone when you turn it off. These alerts can help you prevent accidentally pressing this key.

You're welcome 🙂

I used to take the keyboard apart and place a small piece of paper into the space that allowed the key when pressed to connect and type the letter. Was not hard and worked great. Also a good way to dry out a keyboard.

Oh, I should have added that if you decide to take a keyboard apart to make sure you are careful so the keys do not fall out as replacing them to their places can be time-consuming.
