I wish that I could embrace this philosophy. It is difficult when everything I care about (life, humanity, the biosphere) is being relentlessly, systematically degraded and destroyed.

His is a great philosophy. Yes it is easy to get despondent, sad and depressed, however what really matters is just this moment right now. We have no control over what has been and no control of what will happen, and you know when you are dead than nothing matters at all.

I feel some responsibility for the state of the planet which I leave behind.

@PBuck0145 I do too but still trying to live in the now or I would be depressed all the time.
