The infrequency of birth on the 13th of most months - and the few births on July 4 and 5 reflect, I believe, the frequency of C-sections in this country.

The data comes courtesy of Amitabh Chandra, an economist and social policy professor at Harvard University, who collected U.S. birthrates for each individual day between 1973 and 1999.
