First day of being a waitress and sigh.
NEVER walk empty-handed, and you will cut your workload by 100%!
Smile and be cheerful with your customers. You will get better tips.
To help pay for my bachelor degree, I waited tables. The nicer the restaurant, the higher the tips.
Waitressing improved my organization and efficiency.
Still string grocery bags along my arms- doing biceps curls- and carry all of the groceries into the house at once.
Thanks, i do enjoy the exercise I'm getting though.
Being a waitress is so much better than looking for a job or not having any job. Thinking of the money I earned every hour helped me get through the day. Keep smiling and get those tips. The more you work the better you can play afterward.
Thank you!
Just think, you get to do it all again tomorrow.
That makes me want to cry.
@averykings I'm so sorry.
@1of5 Thanks, i’ll manage though.
@averykings I certainly hope so, the grind of adulting can be tough
Are you ok?
I honestly feel drained.
That's understandable, honey.
In two or three weeks, you will build muscle and endurance. You will learn how to make the work easier to manage. Hang in there.
@LiterateHiker Thanks and yes, you’re completely right.It’s nice being so active though.
@averykings It will bet better.
Do tell.
It went okay, it’s not what i imagined it would be.Customers are a lot of work most of them are generally nice and sweet and it’s hard to stay positive all the time.A lot of back and forth though, my feet ache.
I can relate to that. I've been working as a shop assistant for the last few weeks and it has been so good to get home and put the feet up.
Hope it went well get some rest especially your feet.
It went okay, teamwork is more critical an i thought.It’s a bit hard to keep a positive attitude but overall customers are generally really nice and sweet.My feet are really sore though.
How did it go? I once was a waitress and bar maid for a short two weeks. I was the worst they ever had - the manager told me.
That was rude of the manager but it went okay, teamwork is more critical an i thought.It’s a bit hard to keep a positive attitude but overall customers are generally really nice and sweet.My feet are really sore to.
Did you get the sack?
@Jolanta I quit. If i cannot be the best, i don't want to play.
