My experience says no.

More often than not, I think.

Not necessarily. We find many progressive and liberal members of otherwise conservative churches, conservatives and libertarians within the atheist community. I believe that many religious conservatives only believe politically because that is what their church tells them to believe.

Parkland, Florida is in the middle of conservative country and Florida's bible belt, yet the students at MSD High School are fighting a liberal battle against military style rifles. We will see more of this as the students millennials attend church less than their parents and question the authority of the church that would support conservative values.

I believe that geographic location is more important to the political stance of many. Again there is a herding situation like that of churches, but we do see more conservatives living in the middle American states and rural America than in the urban locations. But even here people are changing their political stance based on bettr and faster communication.

It does in some cases like evangelicals who are overwhelmingly social conservatives.

Yeah. The Conservatives/Republicans sold the Christians a bill of goods: that nothing matters to Jesus as much as abortion. So good Christians will vote for the world's worst human being with the worst policies as long as they think the end game is to make abortion a crime again.
