Raised Catholic but started my doubting in my later teens.Understood I was an atheist much later, probably in my late twenties.

Very liberal C of E. Went to Sunday School which I don’t remember much about. Religion played no part in my childhood/education other than morning assembly which you could escape from if you said you were Jehovahs Witness or Plymouth Bretheren which I did on several occasions. Always questioned, with interest in occult at 14.

Not an atheist but not religious either.

I became one in my 20's after being raised as a Lutheran. I am now 56 years old and never revisited the prospect of Christianity or any other religious, faith-based membership.

I became an atheist for the long term as an adult. I had flirtations with atheism earlier in life though.

How can people go from atheism to believing?
