Even ignoring his avoidance of the draft, he has, on multiple occasions, insulted veterans and his policies have been more hurtful as well. A few of my complaints: in 92 he sued to keep disabled vets from operating food carts in Manhattan because it didn't look nice; insulted POW's as not heroes; insulted a gold star family; insulted a widow whose husband had just been killed - no empathy; and more.
