Just being curious, at what point did the person not realize he was getting burned, for myself I kind of realize when my body is in proximity to something that is going to make it red.

If you you are workin 45°C temperature outdoors you possibly don't realise that one part is burning. Most people sunbake and it isn't until hours later they realise that they have sun burn.

@FrayedBear I was thinking a contact burn, but as I think of it further I'm assuming the retro reflective strip let's through ultraviolet rays to create a sunburn, being that's the only place that is burned. Either way I feel sorry for the folks and I bet it's the last time it happens to him.

@oldFloyd Yeah, I'm not sure if it is sunburn or contact heat burn. Whichever, IMO, it is an item not fit for purpose as outside wear in our frequently harsh climate.

@FrayedBear agreed unless working at night there's no sense to reflective strip any how bright clothing should be enough and also reflective of sunlight. Of course here in the states it would be kind of nice if the people driving automobiles would look out the front view screen instead of looking at their phone a lot of road workers get hit here by unattentive drivers.

@oldFloyd Here roadworks have temporary speed limits imposed for the duration of the work with 40kph speed limits. Unfortunately these limits are left on even when there are no workers present whether day or night.

Not sure who did the brainwashing. Obama?, Hillary?, Trump?, or Guliani?,. Did they fly to Australia or was it something that Wikileaks exposed? Perhaps the deep state? I am going to go reflect on this some more.

Workers used to wear plain dark blue, fawn, grey, or green coloured but of late everyone on outside work is wearing hi viz.
