Contrary to what many people think. Wealthy people and people with high IQ are more likely to be unhappy.

Interesting.

I wonder whether this is an existing trait or mental proclivity prior to acquiring power. Then, in a consistent position of power, one settles into their predisposition and/or becomes less self conscious about how they appear, making their inclinations more evident.

@Allamanda

That is pretty bizarre!

Maybe it’s just that a leader is forced to make hard decisions based on intellect rather than emotions. They have to develop calloused, numb emotions in order to function in their roles. I wonder if studies have been done on the brains of EMT’s, doctors, soldiers, etc.

If their research and conclusions are correct, it would seem our present President entered office with a lethal case of "hubris syndrome". Mix that with his pathologic case of narcissism, and that goes a long way in explaining his total lack of empathy at any level. I truly believe he is so devoid of empathy that he would sell out his kids, and even Melania if he thought it best suited his own personal interests. Put him down with the great villains of history.
