I was walking yesterday and came across a neighbor and we started talking. Somehow the topic went from Persian rugs to religion.

She told me a little about her religion which was one that I have never heard about before.

Has anyone else heard of this one? No one ever talks religion with me so this was a rather unusual event. She never asked me my religion and I didn't volunteer. No attempt to "convert" me, just general info about her religion.

Intriguing me enough to goggle it.

It's been around awhile. I have never met one either in the flesh or online. On paper, at least, it sounds relatively tolerant as religions go.

About the most sensible religion on the planet. They have an inter-religious philosophy and don’t care if you are not like them!

Yes have known about Bahá'í for many years. I'm not sure I've ever met a member though.

I’ve known a few of them. It is interesting that in South Carolina Bahias are the largest minority religion.

I went out with a Bahai girl once, many years ago. I didn't get to know much about her religion, except that it embraces all other religions. She was looking for a daddy for her baby and I wasn't applying for that job.

Considering the damage of organized religion over the centuries, any honoring of all religions is truly scary

Interesting religion. I don't know too much about it either than it started in Persia. And they are persecuted

Only 175 or so years old. About like mormons but their main belief/principle is all religion is valid and they study and sort of follow all of them.

Not too surprised that they are persecuted by everyone.

My neighbor said the closest to her was about 85 miles away. She did not call it a church, just, "my religion".
