This election model says 2020 is 'Trump's to lose' [cnn.com]

While that prospect may seem distant amid an endless series of terrible headlines -- Syria! Ukraine! Impeachment! -- for the President of late, a trio of new electoral models from Moody's Analytics all predict a victory for the incumbent in 2020.

"Results from each of the three models tell equally compelling stories about what could happen on Election Day, but we hesitate to hang our hat on only one of them," reads the report. "As a result, we average the predictions of the three models. Under the average of the three models, Trump would hold on to key industrial Midwest states and pick up New Hampshire, Virginia and Minnesota, assuming historical average non-incumbent turnout."

He seems to be losing his mind, I wouldn't put losing the election past him.

1of5 Level 8 Oct 18, 2019

He lost his mind when found out that he actually had won the election. He could not believe his eyes and stupidity of the American people. The stupidity of the Hillary campaign and democrats to deliver him the unexpected presidency on a silver platter was astounding. In the first 6 months, he looked confused with the Washington ways of butchering opponents with inquiries, inside reports and media scoops but he soon gained control and is personally running the White House and the Government himself. Trump does not take much advise from his cabinet. He is a different animal from all others we have seen s far. We can laugh now as much as we want but I bet there will be a new Trumpian party running against the Republican and Democratic Parties and this will be his doctrines and his legacy for the American history.

The same way he has positioned himself to win the election. That is how he was more successful than his father and all of his siblings. CONTROL !!!

Believe it. He is going to re-elected in 2020.

@St-Sinner Hopefully he will be re-elected in 2020 as he’s a damn sight better choice than any of the looney left wing democraps!

@St-Sinner I'll be more suprised if he's even eligible to run than if he wins. State polling is starting to show that senators continuing to back Trump are falling and net favorability ratings going underwater. Once polling shows a senater that backing trump will cost them thier seat, they won't back him anymore.

There's a very real chance that in a month or so it'll be clear to McConnell that the Senate can't guarantee acquittal and will tell Trump so - and force him to resign so they can try to keep the Senate majority.

There's a part of me that thinks Pelosi wants the Senate to acquit to show that the Senate is broken and the Republican majority is why to try and recapture the majority. I'm positive she wouldn't have begun impeachment procedings unless she knows it puts them between a rock and a hard place in 20.

@1of5
I was sure about many things against Trump but not any more. Please wait until Trump's attorneys are done with states interfering with federal elections issue in the courts. Trump has been able to turn around many things that were against him so far. Democrats have not been able to pin down on a single thing yet in the 3 years. That should tell us something either about his abilities or our democrats inabilities.

@St-Sinner trumps attorneys? You mean government investigators, I hope. Trumps actual attorney is under investigation for a few things ATM. And please, if you spout off about non existent voter fraud (It's debunked on what seems to be a fairly regular basis) I'm gonna go kill a kitten out of frustration.

The Senate is why he's getting away with this shit, and as for turning things around, he's kinda been floundering. What victories besides stacking the courts (which is a big deal) does he actually have? His signature issues aren't doing so well.

@1of5

There is wishful thinking and there is reality.

  1. Trump said he has many many attorneys.
  2. The impeachment of Congress will only guarantee Trump's election
  3. Republicans are imploring Democrats to hold the vote as soon as possible because they know they will be able to capitalize on it to guarantee Trump's re-election
  4. You must already know the Senate will defeat it big time
  5. Trump will continue to file suits and block every information as much possible
  6. Don't forget the wishful thinking about Robert Mueller's investigation. Democrats were confident that it would be a death nail for Trump but who knew that he would get an AG like Barr?
  7. Trump is not done until he wins
  8. Worst case scenario - Trump is impeached by both houses. Pence pardons him and you get a worse president than Trump. It is a lose-lose proposition
  9. Trump will use every accusation, every lie in his arsenal to fight and defeat his enemy. You are looking for the right and wrong but it does not exist in his world. He only looks at win or lose.
  10. The right and wrong you are talking about is thrown out of the window when he became president. Your list to very short.
