Let's say we fix what's wrong instead of crashing the world's economy. Unless you think increasing suffering - on a massive scale - will magically "fix" what you think is wrong.

I do not follow you. What would be the benefit of a DOW at zero?
That it may be psychologically satisfying to some I have little doubt, I do not believe the consequences of this would be so generally hailed as a good.
