Well, looks like I kinda jumped right in my first day here. Apparently, I did not rub anyone the wrong way. I think I will be momentarily impressed with my introverted self being so vocal amongst strangers. I enjoyed my time here today, and will likely return on the morrow. I need to add more to my profile, though I doubt anything I expound upon will scratch more than the surface. That is probably true for most folk here, and that makes this entire endeavor all the more interesting. Good night, y'all.

I've been on FB almost a decade, and not communicated this much in any given time period. I even know those folks. I think it is the idea that I can post something authentic, and expect discourse rather than bashing. Hoping to get to know people here.

Jumping in really is the best way to get going here - it's what I did (straight into a discussion on the expansion of the universe, back in the early days of the site) and I'm still here two years later. You will rub someone up the wrong way sooner or later, but just like any other social media site we have our fair share of trolls, angry idiots and mansplainers, so when you do it means you're doing something right. Enjoy!

Nice one. Hope you enjoy the site. I am sure you will piss someone off before long. That’s the fun. Mostly exploring ideas as far as you can before some sort of implosion
