1.What bill do you hate the most? Any kind of insurance. It always feels like a scam; forking over money for nothing. (If anything ever happens, I'll be glad I did, of course. Still how it feels, though.)

2. When was the last time you had a romantic dinner? I suppose about a year and a half ago. Last time I had a romantic anything...

3. What do you really want to be? I don't even know anymore! "History teacher" used to be the answer. Maybe it still is. Or, a successful novelist.

4. How many colleges did you attend? Three? Four, if multiple campuses of the same university (at very different times) each count.

5. Why did you choose the shirt you have on? It's the only flannel pajama shirt I currently own, and it's a chilly fall evening!

6. Thoughts on gas prices? I have never managed to reconcile myself to the idea of modern gas prices as "normal" (remember when it was typically around $1.25/gallon?). And I tend to think that the way the price fluctuates in response to world events is mostly a scam. Capitalist pigs.

7. First thought when the alarm goes off? Depends radically on what sort of day it is. Often involves musing about what the day has in store. Also often not very enthusiastic; I tend to be at my least emotionally stable when just waking up.

8. Last thought you have before you go to sleep? Various. Some common categories: 1. Thinking about a project that I'm working on. 2. Emotional introspection. 3. Stuff I need to get done. 4. Sexual thoughts. 5. "Why can't I fall asleep?"

9. Do you miss being a child? Mostly not. I am nostalgic about various parts of my youth (teen years more than full-on childhood), but on the whole I much prefer being an adult.

10. What errand/chore do you despise the most? Cleaning the bathroom.

11. Up early or stay in bed late? I tend to stay up late and (when I can) sleep late.

12. Found love yet? Found it, had it for 20+ years, lost it, looking for it again.

17. Ever crashed a vehicle? Yes. A couple of times, actually. Icy roads are no fun.

18. Strangest place you've brushed your teeth? Confession: When I'm away from home, I tend to skip brushing. So, no very strange places (unless you consider my home to be strange!).
