I stop by a McDonalds once or twice a week. This old guy is always there, always reading his bible. Kind of sad and strange(to me). If i make it to retirement I'll never be at McDonalds at 6:30 in the morning. Much less reading a bible. To each their own..

Why would that be sad?

The bibles are interesting historical fiction. When placed in a time-line context, there is much to learn about who did what, when, and why. But this does require an understanding of migration, climate changes, inventions, food stuffs,.... EG: the story of cain and able is metaphor about the conflict between herders and farmers as farming technologies spread across the planet.

Surely the Bible tells him that it is a sin to go in McDonalds anyway.
