Crude but somewhat effective still a long way to go

Can they distinguish between combatants, and non combatants?

@Haemish1 can be fooled or hijacked but impressive

@bobwjr
Perhaps it’s no different than actual soldiers, but I hope for a time, when differences can be settled without military intervention

@Haemish1 I went through combat training so I know the difference but nonetheless impressive

@bobwjr
What Impressed me was the confidence the guys interacting with the robots had - what would it take for you to be confident of their between you and the identification of the enemy?

@Haemish1 people I trained with they practiced a lot knew all the steps long before they did it, that's the beauty of computers but can be a downfall

But they can kill real people and they can do it in many different ways.

Absolutely!
I was amazed at the confidence the men in the video had, that they wouldn’t be shot!

That is insane! No need for conscription then!

Isn't it. Robotics and AI are incredible, and improving quickly.

It’s scary what’s happening - will there be any jobs left for people?

@Haemish1 Cannot say when, but no; all jobs will be gone. It will happen faster than you and I believe.

@EdEarl
I agree, and not just blue collar jobs, but doctors laeysrp and other “white collar”employee’s too!

@Haemish1 I've read that some sports reporting is already done by AI, and IBM claims that their AI outperforms doctors in several ways, including diagnosis. My PCP uses an AI to read EKGs.

@EdEarl
Yep - software and artificial intelligence are beginning to threaten white collar jobs now.
I wonder how soon a universal basic income will become a necessity?

@Haemish1 Some argue it is already needed.
