Rod Stewart's model railroad. Yes, really.
Yes...this was a big item on our news a few days ago...believe it or not...some light relief from Brexit and the looming General Election!
I got rid of my cable as I got sick of paying an exorbitant amount of money every month to hear all the doom and gloom, so pleasant to see something happy.
@MizJ I don’t have cable TV I only have Freeview...which gives me plenty of channels, hundreds. Here in the U.K. we have to pay for our TV licence to receive the signal, the money goes to fund the BBC and costs £154.50 per annum or £12.87 per month by direct debit.
@Marionville The first time I crossed the Pond was over 40 years ago and they still had 2 licenses, one for color and a less expensive black and white option, not everyone told the truth about their equipment
@MizJ Ha ha....I’ve experienced that in other things too...not just TV equipment!
Completely by chance, I found myself chatting to a guy who writes for Railway Modeler magazine yesterday. He said he's actually seen Stewart's model and the photos don't even begin to show how detailed and perfect it is. Model railways are not something that interests me in the slightest, but I can really appreciate the level of devotion and skill that goes into something such as this.
I just thought it was incredible the number of years he put into it.
