The SEASON OF GIVING...really???
I have always wondered what was meant by the Season of Giving. For those who believe the writings of the Gospel. Giving is supposed to be a constant, something that is a natural part of the "believer's" character. It is not restricted to giving to organizations who beg for 25 cents a day to feed needy children covered in flies or to support St. Judes Children's Hospital. There are needy people all around us, every day.

So, why has the Christmas Holiday been tagged as the Season of Giving? Dummy me...because gawd gave his son right? Baby in the manger, Mary, Joseph, the three blind mice or was it three wise men??

Perhaps it's about Santa who gives gifts only to the good boys and girls, or does he?? I've know some pretty f*cked up kids who got some really nice things from good ole Santa.

So, this season of greed has nothing to do with the kindness of giving to those in need. Try dropping one penny in the Salvation Army guys red bucket and watch that phony smile get wiped off the Sargent's face.

Get Johnny the toy he doesnt want and wait for the tamtrum. Buy that teen daughter a book to read instead of that Apple X10 she wanted and see just how jolly she stays. Tell the kids there will be NO gifts this Christmas because we are going to spend the day at a homeless shelter giving your Christmas presents away to the homeless children, and watch that turd float in the punchbowl.

All of the Christmas pagents and nativity scenes in the world has nothing to do with those who really are in NEED all year round.

So, is this time of the year really the Season of Giving or is it the season of getting? The churches will be overcrowded, the shopping malls will still be open for those who really didn't like what they got for Christmas and can't wait to return this junk.

Ya gotta love the hypocracy , along with all of the Christmas music and decorations and holiday bullsh*t. It creates a false sense of so-called goodness during this Season of Giving.

The Season of Giving is more about what people WANT than what they NEED. That's why billions are made on Black Friday.

That’s people though. The same argument gets resurrected every year.

You can only ignore it yourself and make a difference. Many religious groups don’t celebrate or gift at Christmas so perhaps they have the drop in the secular?

Just sayin’

I did read a stat, don't know where, that the money the US spends on christmas presents in one year, would be enough to cure world hunger, forever.
