A FRAGMENT OF CHRIST’s MANGER IS BACK IN THE HOLY LAND!

HOW DESPERATE ARE CHRISTIANS FOR CONFIRMATION OF THEIR BELIEFS???

HUGE EARTH SHATTERING NEWS THAT WILL REVERBERATE INTO THE HEAVENS!

Jerusalem (CNN) - A fragment of wood believed to be from Jesus' manger is back in the Holy Land just in time for Christmas.
The tiny inches long relic was first taken out of the Middle East in the 7th century when St. Sophronius, Patriarch of Jerusalem, donated it to Pope Theodore I. It remained in Rome's Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore until now.

REALLY??? When Christ was born he was not even suspected as being a god. In fact, it wasn’t till many years later that his claim was made. Yet, somehow, the believers had the foresight to save his manger so that future generations would be able to pay homage to it? Wouldn’t it have been discarded or sold at a yard sale? Of course, this is a tiny piece of this sacred artifact. But what makes it so special?

I view this as a sad and desperate attempt to legitimize their beliefs. Am I wrong?

This is just another "story" meant to provide believers with "proof" that their savior was real and not just a normal person who happened to say some very humanistic things that required no religious beliefs. Again, how did these people know that Jesus was the supposed savior at the time of his birth? And then to save pieces of the manger after his birth? Or to go back after his death and find the exact manger and save it? it is just too much of a leap. But they will eat this up come this time of year.

Not as easily misconceived as those who do believe it. Look for Noah's Ark to show up in the near future.

Manger rhymes with anger.

It doesn't

What I find fascinating is all the churches that claim to have Jesus" foreskin.

Okay, you made that up!

@Dreamrider Few Catholic artifacts are as mysterious and as fraught with controversy as the foreskin of Jesus Christ, the only part of the Messiah left on Earth after his Divine Ascension.

After being lost for almost 1500 years, Christ's foreskin (known as the Holy Prepuce) was discovered in the small Roman town of Calcata, disproving a theory by 17th century theologian Leo Allatius that it ascended into heaven to become the rings of Saturn. The Holy Foreskin was immediately attributed with numerous divine miracles, including perfumed mists and freak storms. It supposedly had divine attributes: rubbing it upon the eyelids of the blind could make them see.

But in 1900, another holy foreskin showed up, this time in France. At this point, even the Catholic Church was starting to be a little bit ashamed of their little slice of Jesus and it was decreed that anyone who even spoke of the Holy Foreskin would be excommunicated and burn in hell forever.
