It depends on what you mean by “reality.” I voted “yes” in the sense that my action of getting off my ass and cleaning (or not cleaning) determines whether my reality is living in a clean house or living in a pile of filth. But if by “reality” you mean some ultimate truth such as “the true nature of the universe” then, no, nothing I could do or think would affect that in any tangible way.

That's question answers itself in many ways. Without action, nothing is set in motion. But in other ways; reality is a fact which cannot be ignored. Regardless how hard we try. And physical action isn't necessary for reality to exist.

What is being done to you also determines your reality.

I would say it is 50/50 yes and no. A child born into extreme poverty and learns from his environment that he/she has little to no chance for upward mobility, how can he determine his reality? Add infinitum of stories......

You don't get a reality all to yourself. You get your experience of our shared reality all to yourself. And if we could measure it, that shared reality probably determines what you do and don't do more than you do. Did you decide to be born a human instead of a cricket? No. That was all decided by reality before you got here. You get to decide when to eat, and when to pee. Then reality comes and retrieves the life it loaned you.

I voted no, but I would like to ask what you mean by "your" reality.
Would reality be the generalization of your sense perceptions, cogitation and memory or the totality of the actual, which would include you, I and the entirety of being?
