For many years I have wanted a roll top desk but they were always too expensive or the less expensive ones were too “Cheap.” Yesterday I bought a used one for $50 CA (or less than $38 US). Part of an estate sale.

Apparently there is an underlying hoarding story. The owner was an elderly woman now living in a retirement or nursing home and she owned 4 or 5 houses. When they were filled with stuff she would buy a new home and start over according to the chap getting rid of the stuff for the son who lives across the country.
